Factors
An integer that divides evenly into another integer with no remainder is called a factor.
The number 3 is a factor of 12 because 3 divides evenly into 12 four times.
The number 5 is not a factor of 12 because 5 doesn’t divide evenly into 12—it divides into 12 two times with a remainder of 2.
